  1. Jeep Recon Pricing Thoughts

Still no word on the Overland availability or pricing. I'm guessing around $60k, but maybe it's delayed until next year.
  2. 2026 Jeep Recon ORDER GUIDE

awesome, thank you. I'm just wondering when we'll hear about the Overland. I'd trade a little less off-road capability for the extra mileage, especially if it still has vented seats. Also, are all roofs the 1-touch top? Actually, I see the top is almost $2k. But what is the roof if not...
  3. Recon Dealer Pre-Order List [earlier spot in line?]

Did my every-few-days search on Recon info, and it said a bunch of pages on Jeep.com were updated in the last 24 hours. Sure enough, I think the builder is different.
  4. Recon Dealer Pre-Order List [earlier spot in line?]

I got a call from a Nevada dealer 10 days ago saying that the Recons were going into production and they expected to get their first one some time in July.
  5. Official: Jeep Recon will get ICE gas engine model!

agreed gents. I would take a less off-roady badass trim (Overland, Sport, Willys) as long as it has vented seats. I'm tired of burning by legs/butt in Arizona summers. Also, thought I'd mention one of the dealers I've spoken with--where I bought my 4xe in '21--called Saturday to say Recon...
  6. Official: Jeep Recon will get ICE gas engine model!

as someone that read lots of articles and management quotes, about 12-15 months ago we started to see comments that the Recon could potentially have additional powertrains as soon as 2027. Basically, as soon as this leadership took over. and it’s also been reported since last fall that the...
  7. Official: Jeep Recon will get ICE gas engine model!

The R2 is slightly better priced than the Recon. $60k vs $67k. But I'm guessing the Recon will be more available since R2 has about 200k pre-orders. Most of the people that bashed the Recon's pricing in November were comparing the 2028 R2 Standard (didn't know when it would come out) at $45k...
  8. Official: Jeep Recon will get ICE gas engine model!

Also, while relatively close, they are different sizes. Recon is 5" longer than the Cherokee and Wrangler and quite a bit wider (not sure exactly since some measurements include mirrors). The tires on the backs of Recon and Wrangler do throw off measurements a bit. But basically it's the...
  9. Official: Jeep Recon will get ICE gas engine model!

It makes sense for two reasons. One...choice. Two...Europe. They are replacing the Wrangler in Europe with the Recon, and various choices make sense. Like everyone else on here right now, I'm in it for EV. I have to imagine they'll have a bigger engine that the Hurricane. I mean, it's a...
  10. Official: Jeep Recon will get ICE gas engine model!

This has pretty much been known for a while, but it’s great to have it confirmed. The execs have been saying that the versatility of the STLA-large playform allows for relatively easy interchanging of ICE, hybrid, PHEV, and EV. I expect they’ll offer a REEV next year that will be the most...
  11. Recon Dealer Pre-Order List [earlier spot in line?]

That makes tons of sense. I'm the typical mall crawler. I drive around town. I used to drive a Yukon years ago and like ride height, but don't want anything that big. The Wrangler 4xe has been a great vehicle for me, and I'm looking forward to electric. I love the looks of both R2 and...
  12. Recon Dealer Pre-Order List [earlier spot in line?]

Thanks for the information. I should find out my approximate timeline on an R2 in June as well. If that sounds like it’s in the sooner side, then I can wait until next year for a Recon Overland. We’re looking to replace both of our vehicles with EV’s.
  13. Jeep Recon sales to start next Spring says Jeep CEO

I think this is all linked to the Cherokee being in high demand. The dealers near me can’t keep them on the lot, and I’ve seen more on the road in a few months than Wag S’s in 14 months. So Jeep is really cranking out Cherokees to meet demand for a fuel efficient SUV. As they hit a level...
  14. Jeep CEO: We're still all-in on Recon. It's legit and fun; people love it.

Saw this pop up the other day, confirming my suspicions. It's nothing against the Recon, but the limited Toluca capacity and taking advantage of a successful product launch of the Cherokee. https://moparinsiders.com/when-will-the-2026-jeep-recon-arrive-in-showrooms/
  15. Jeep CEO: We're still all-in on Recon. It's legit and fun; people love it.

Yeah, they’re saying the initial vehicle will start at $65k, but they’ve stated that the Overland and possibly other trims will be cheaper. They have a few options that can raise the Recon price by a couple thousand. I think the biggest “oh crap” moments for Jeep engineers we’re hearing...
