Yes, @JeepCares please give us some information on what in the world is going on with this vehicle. NO dealerships here in Kentucky know anything about it. Jeep Customer Care up in Michigan says ask your local dealer. Jeep social media pages show nothing about Recon. I searched AutoTrader...
I have tried and tried to explain to people on the Scout forum that 220 miles of range is because of the 33" A/T tires and the weight of the Jeep, which is a byproduct of building it strong enough to handle bashing around off road. Jeeps have been heavier than normal SUVs for decades because...
Okay, I've been trying to dig for information every week for the past six weeks. Here's what I've basically ascertained as of today.
Jeep opened the order banks in July. That was the only month that the order banks were open. There are dealerships scattered about the country that do have some...
Yes, all Recons for this model year are defaulted to the Sky One Touch power top. And of course, the Moab trim level is the only one available for order. So that's why the MSRP realistically starts closer to $70,000.
There was hope that the second model year would open up lower trim levels...
All the dealers I've contacted, including the highest volume selling dealer in the nation (Mark Dodge), says that there is zero information on this. So if you do actually get a VIN and build date, please report back to us.
I'm certain the R2 is really good.
It's also really expensive, and they are intentionally screwing the lease deal on R2 to force people to "buy" them at over $1,000 per month. Hard pass....
It looks a lot like the Jeep Liberty KK models that were sold about 15 years ago.
What it does not look like, at all, is the Ford Bronco. I have no idea where people get that from.
Interesting. We’ve seen a customer report here than his order is in “D” status. We’ve seen the guys at Jeep Jamboree already take delivery of theirs. One of my local dealers has a Fathom Blue one already ordered……and that’s supposed to be a late availability color! So I don’t know what Jeep...
With orders being taken and at least one delivery already confirmed, I'm surprised at how dead this forum is! I figured things would be heating up by now.
Jeep Jamboree on facebook received a Recon. I am assuming Jeep gave it to them for advertising purposes but I can’t confirm that. Anyhow, this is the first one in the hands of civilians that I’ve seen.
So here's what I'm running into. All the dealers here want a $1,000 deposit just to place the order. Nobody has even seen one of these vehicles in person yet, let alone driven one. Therefore, I don't know for certain if I'll like it or not. If I do like it I don't know if Stellantis will do...
The Build & Price tool is up. I added two things... the floor liners and the towing package. My MSRP comes out to $70,100ish (!)
They're going to have to subsidize the heck out of this vehicle to get people to take them home. If they don't the payments are going to be over $1,000 even on a...
Per a conversation with a gentleman at Jeep Customer Care today, June 17th, 2026...
"We expect to open order banks in July or August 2026. No official release date has been given. Please watch Jeep social media because the latest information will be posted there."
At this point it's...
Touched base with this dealer again today. They say that there is still "nothing set in stone" from Stellantis, and they "hope to see them by the end of the year". The waiting game continues.....
Yeah, the starting price is $67k including destination for the Moab trim. That'll be the first trim offered. I expect them to do a Sport trim for quite a bit less sometime in calendar year 2027.
The one big advantage Jeep has over Rivian is a dealer network that can provide service and...
Europe is irrelevant. The U.S. market has never followed the rest of the globe.
Twelve 4 Twelve? Almost universally panned by all the members of the huge JL forum.
Look, the Wrangler is the hinge that the entire brand swings upon. And I guess until now Jeep execs understood this. But...
Makes no sense. Already have a Jeep in the lineup that is the same size as Recon, same price as Recon, with removable doors and top, and ICE powertrain. Now there'll be TWO? They're going to intentionally canabalize their cash cow? Stupidity.
What makes Recon special IS the electric...
I really wish they didn't hide the harness behind the kick panels. That's so annoying, especially for middle-aged folks with bad backs. The Ford Bronco does this much MUCH better.
