Franklin CDJR in Franklin TN also has one on their lot. They look like they’re getting fairly close to you Dave. Maybe they’ll beat your ETA!

The odd ball is a single recon in Maryland. No other recon has made it to the East Coast. Most of the ones actually available right now are along 2 corridors.

TX -> Southern Ca
TX -> Midwest

Which makes sense with them being shipped via rail.

Dealerships have been all over the place. Half of them have no idea what they are talking about and can’t be bothered to look into it.

I’ve had more than one dealer tell me that “no one has a recon “ and they won’t be out for “months”. Meanwhile, I already knew for a fact that was incorrect.

WOWZERS they came back at $1,450/mo @36 months with $1k down. Keep in mind this is a dealership that is well known on other Jeep forums because they sell at 9% below invoice on most new Jeeps no questions asked. They said they are floored because Jeep is doing "ZERO incentives, not even the affiliate discount on these right now, no incentivized rates whatsoever."

Looks like in rare fashion, straight financing is going to be the way to go on these. But even then we're talking $1k per month.

It will be interesting now to see how long these Recons sit on the lots. ALL Jeep models are showing large decreases in sales this year except Wrangler which is barely showing growth, so Jeep isn't in the best place anyhow. At four-figure payments and U.S. consumers adverse to electric vehicles, it'll be interesting to see how long these Recons sit around.

I may wait on this and see how deep the discounts get as we move into winter.

I think Jeep is playing their hand differently with the Recon.

When you look at the Wagoneer S, Jeep sold about 11,000 of them in the first year, with a steep decline in sales shortly after launch. Jeeps new CEO took over in Aug of this year, and from the figures we have heard, only 1200 recons are expected to be made for the 2026 model year. Not all of those will hit the market at once. Early data shows 512 Recons listed for sale currently (not necessarily on the ground). That number grows daily, albeit slowly.

Also at the time of the Wagoneer S launch you had a $7500 lease incentive applied directly from the EV tax credit, which ended Sept 30, 2025 with changes in the OBBB Act. Sadly something we don’t get for the Recon at no fault of Jeep.

In summary, I think Jeep is being smart with the approach thus far of the launch of the recon. They could have done a better job with communication and marketing, certainly; but they have created a scarcity right off the bat with a slow and tiered roll out. Furthermore, while US consumers have historically been more averse to electric, I think the current state of gas prices and foreign affairs will have people looking more seriously at electric moving forward. Will someone drop 70k just to have an electric vehicle? No. But for someone already looking for a new vehicle, going electric now is a no brainer (I personally fall into that category).
