If those truly are 8.5" wide, they are the widest factory wheels I've ever seen on a Jeep. Normally, Jeeps all get 7.5s and Ram trucks get 8.0s.

So… we have all seen somewhere that the first year recons were going to all be one touch roofs. I can now say for certain that is apparently not the case. I don’t know how many or where they all may be, but I definitely test drove one today with a standard glass sunroof. Might be worth looking around @dhonkaz if that was your only reason to hold out.

Where was this?? Nobody in the west has any Recons yet. Amazing because there’s trails, cities with gaps (so people using them in town instead of road trips), warm temps (for efficiency), and they’re made in Mexico.

also was it really quiet without a cloth top??

I got called into work while I was at the dealership and had to cut my visit short. I checked out a green one with JT interior and the one touch roof, but it was already cleaned up and showroom bound, so no test drive. This one was definitely quiet. Our wrangler has the standard 3 piece hard top, so I can’t compare it directly to a OT roof at all really, but it was still significantly quieter than our ‘18 wrangler.

If you pull up the window sticker, it does show factory 2 panel sunroof. If you’re interested, give em a call. I’ve had dealers in other states offer to ship one to my door at no cost.

Also, as far as nobody in the west having Recons, there’s plenty in CA.

Also, now that I know to look, I see that 417 out of 567 listings notate having the one touch roof. Seems to me that 150 is a lot of recons to not have it, so maybe it’s just not in the listing and excluded, but worth checking out one by one for ones you’re interested in.
